Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are just about two hours north of Camden, Maine. About 13 years ago, my parents took us up there on vacation and they were so excited to return to the gorgeous scenery of the area. So on our third day in Camden, we headed North!
On our way, we passed the Big Chicken Barn, an amaaaaazing antique store I could have spent a week rummaging through. I’ll write more on this later, but I found a beautiful bar cart for a great price there!
Luckily, we had excellent weather for our drive up Cadillac Mountain.
Below is one of my favorite photos. So serene…
My dad joined the effort.
I contributed a rock to the top at their request.
Grandma and mom took in the scenery from above.
Sitting on top of the world.
Our roommate and his girlfriend were in Bar Harbor this same week! Somehow, we were able to meet up with them on the mountain. Apparently, they ventured up the day before but the weather wasn’t good and they missed out on the views. They were happy to drive up again in the sunshine.
Plus, we got a great picture for our apartment!
Remember how much Will loves to stage awkward photos? Prepare yourself for what’s coming next….
He actually doesn’t get credit for this next one. My grandma, always the troublemaker, suggested this pose. How scary does that look!?
Just falling off the edge of a cliff. NBD.
We had lunch at the Jordan Pond House. The popovers were just as amazing as Will remembered!
