Pit Stop in Ogunquit, Maine

The drive from Hoboken to Maine is a long one. How long, you ask? 8.5 hours to the house my parents rented in Camden, I say. Luckily, Ogunquit made for the perfect late lunch/pit stop on our journey up the coast.ย

We only explored the little downtown area briefly, but this was the view when we got out of our car and walked to the edge of the parking lot!

I think we were probably in the most touristy area, but that’s what happens when you’re just passing through. Ogunquit has a very cute little draw bridge you can cross. It opens for ships but there’s also a button at the top that people can push to raise the bridge. We watched a girl press it and everyone standing on the bridge scatter to avoid sliding down or perhaps falling into the water? It was quirky!

We had lunch at a place called The Lobster Shack which I unfortunately would not recommend. Still, it was a cute little stop on our way!ย

I’ll tell you about the rest of Maine in my next post ๐Ÿ™‚

In the meantime, how gorgeous is that?

  1. Wow what gorgeous pictures! It looks like there were some really interesting smells in Maine. I would have loved to have been there. Please bring me and my brother next time!
