Traveling with a crew of 14 and not being the designated planner or navigator led to a perhaps more relaxing trip for me. However, I can’t promise my normal play-by-play account of the cities we visited. I’ll do my best to sum up our activities in Venice and the other stops on our first European adventure of summer 2014.
We arrived in Venice sometime in the late morning. After checking in to the beautiful Boscolo hotel, we ventured out for lunch. The concierge made us a reservation at a delicious restaurant called Al Cantinon – yum! In the afternoon, we worked our way over to St. Mark’s Square where we visited Saint Mark’s Basilica and witness some classic pigeon activity. Later that night, we were able to catch up on the World Cup at Devil’s Forrest pub. It was a short but lovely time in Venezia!
